Having copied an Open Office doc. in an XP comp. to a USB in order to install the doc in to Windows 7 computer, but fail.

As told in the header I wonder why I can't even find the USB device in Windows 7 - "my computer" "moveable discs."

All data in the USB seem to have disappeared, but where?
