En bekant har ett knepigt problem. Han använder Telia ADSL och varje kväll omkring kl. 20.00 slutar hans Internetuppkoppling att fungera. Han kan då varken surfa eller skicka mail. Om man tittar på hans nätverksanslutningsstatus (långt ord) så ser det helt OK ut. Datorn får "riktigt" IP-nummer av modemet m.m. Men det går inte att komma ut på nätet. Just att det händer vid 20.00-tiden varje kväll verkar ju totalt oförklarligt. Tidigare på dagen och morgonen efter funkar Internet igen. Uppslag till lösningar sökes? ??? ??? ??? Edit: Han använder inte router. Modemet är ett Zyxel Prestige 660 H Triple Play

Den senaste OE-versionen är följande: 6.00.2900.2180 (Windows XP SP2) Därefter heter den Windows Mail i Vista. Man kan inte ladda ner enbart Outlook Express eftersom den ingår i windows xp. Det man kan göra är att installera om eller reparera den: http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3Bsv...mp;x=15&y=9 oklart om det funkar.... alt. är att använda sin regelbundet tillverkade backup och återställa datorn inkl. Outlook Express med den. ;D

Svarar mej själv, problemet är löst. Jag hade två tidigare uppdateringar av IE 7 installerade. Jag avinstallerade båda och vips gick det att installera KB937143 och resten av månadens uppdateringar. Jag såg på loggen följande Troligen var det någon konflikt mellan filversionerna i någon av de tidigare uppdateringarna och KB937143. Men nu är det löst och jag kan gå och sova några timmar. ;D

Häromdagen släppte microsoft en laddning säkerhetsuppdateringar som skall installeras efter att man fått upp den lilla gula markeringen i aktivitetsfältet. Jag fick ett tiotal uppdateringar och började installera dom. Allt gick bra förutom med en kumulativ uppdateringar av Internet Explorer 7.0. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...0c-932ebcc3d344 Den började installeras men avbröt och det kom upp en ruta om "åtkomst nekad". Jag provade flera gånger med samma resultat. Följden blev att uppdateringen återkom hela tiden och begärde att bli installerad, men det gick inte. Moment 22. Det verkade som någon fil i datorn inte tillät att bli utbytt. Jag provade med programmet unlocker och start i felsäkert läge. Samma resultat. Slutligen provade jag att köra in en backup på datorn från i april 2007 och då kunde jag installera uppdateringen. Till saken hör att jag lyckats installera en liknande uppdatering av IE 7.0 i juni 2007. Varför beter sig datorn på det viset? Vad är det som låser och omöjliggör uppdateringen? Tips om åtgärder för att lösa problemet utan att behöva använda en "gammal backup".

OK, borde ha förstått att det har med BIOS att göra. Det är därför att det är viktigt att man inte försöker använda en OEM-installationsskiva på en annan dator än den är avsedd för, det går inte eller strular rejält. Tack för svaret Stenis.

Att aktivera eller inte aktivera, det är frågan och tydligen olika från fall till fall. När jag köpte min dator en Fujitsu-Siemens Scaleo P hade den ett förinstallerat Windows XP Home som är en OEM-version. Det medföljde en uppsättning recovery-skivor innehållande operativsystem m.m. På datorns ovansida sitter det obligatoriska hologrammet med en produktkey på. När jag undersökte vilken produktkey som hör ihop med det förinstallerade operativsystemet så upptäckte jag att den inte stämmer med den som finns på hologrammet. Jag antar att den produktkey:n hör ihop med mina recovery-skivors version av Windows XP Home. Jag har aldrig använt recovery-skivorna så jag vet inte, men gissar att om jag gör det så kommer det att kräva en ny aktivering hos Microsoft. Jag använde istället mappen i386 från datorns hårddisk och skapade en ren installationsskiva med SP2 enligt guiden: http://www.alltomxp.se/forum/index.php?topic=4894.0 Jag har använt den 2-3 gånger och gjort rena nyinstallationer med dess tillhörande produktkey. Den kräver aldrig någon aktivering hos Microsoft. Aha tänker vän av ordning, det är en piratversion. Icke, den är helt laglig och det är en fröjd att köra Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications på den. Varför jag aldrig behövt aktivera har jag ingen aning om men det kanske Fujitsu-Siemens vet eller någon annan "klurig" forummedlem kan hålla en utläggning om.

Använder själv "startupinspector for windows" (freeware) som ger en del förklaringar över vilka autostarter som behövs eller är onödiga. Ser annars ut att vara något liknande startup faster 2004. http://www.windowsstartup.com/startupinspector.php

Kan komma med lite tröstande ord. Jag har Soundmax integrerade ljudkort på förinstallerat Windows XP Home. Då jag tyckte ljudet lät orent så tänkte jag försöka ominstallera drivrutinerna och programvaran som hörde ihop med det. Jag lyckades ALDRIG avinstallera detta. Försökte bl.a. via lägg till/ta bort. Omöjligt. Enda möjligheten var att formatera datorn och göra en nyinstallation av XP och därefter lägga till Soundmax drivrutiner och programvara. Det lät fortfarande orent och då bestämde jag mej för ett annat ljudkort. Köpte ett Creative Soundblasterkort och fick med drivrutiner som jag sedan lätt kunnat uppdatera via deras hemsida. Jag har f.f. Soundmax drivrutiner kvar i datorn men har valt bort det från ljudenheten. Vill bara nämna det eftersom ditt fall Libra63 känns bekant för mig. Soundmax- Nej Tack.

Jamen vad letar vi drivrutiner för då? Det är ju dom du ska använda. Stäng av nätet och F-Secure och installera dom.

Istället för att kasta ut f.nskapet kan du göra som jag. Jag har också ett Soundmax Integrerat ljudkort i min Fujitsu-Siemens dator som jag tyckte lät illa. Jag köpte ett Creative Soundblaster ljudkort och stoppade i. Då följde det med drivrutiner till det på CD. Det låter bra mycket bättre och så har jag drivrutiner lätt tillgängliga. Alltså 2 flugor på smällen. ;D ;D ;D
