This is a BETA software and must not be used any other purposes than testing.

What is COMODO Time Machine?

COMODO Time Machine is a high performance and powerful system snapshoting software which allows you to take the snapshots of your machine and switch between them.

Have you ever used Virtual Machines? What if we can bring their convenince to you with your real machine?

with CTM 2, you can take snapshots of your real system and switch between them, mount the snapshots as drives and recover your files easily, schedule automated tasks etc.

COMODO Disk Shield has been superseded with this product and is discontinued. Please make sure you uninstall it if you have it installed already.

Har installerat i mitt virtuella system… Kan använda CTM istället för ögonblicksbilderna i VirtualBox.

En tidsmaskin tillåter förstås resor både bakåt och framåt i tiden. Vid installation av CTM skapas ögonblicksbilden Baseline, och därefter skapade jag en bild kallad Nummer 1. Efter installation av programmet DriveSentry, skapade jag en bild med det namnet, och 2009-09-24, 12:54 skapade CTM automatiskt (schemalagt) en bild. Jag valde att återställa systemet till Nummer 1. Efter att det har genomförts, har jag följande uppsättning ögonblicksbilder:

Slutligen återställde jag systemet framåt, till bilden 2009-09-24 12:54.

Tidsmaskinen kommer även att ingå i Comodo Internet Security 4.

Och ja, CTM säger en del om hur CIS 4 kommer att se ut…

Strax efter den första betan släpptes, gjordes Beta corner - CTM tillgänglig endast för inloggade medlemmar på Comodos forum. Av den anledningen ges ingen nedladdningslänk här.

Den kommer säkert bli ett bra komplement till Windows egen Systemåterställning.

Tufft av Comodo att man vågar utmana MS och driva på utvecklingen som man gör.

Behovet finns ju där onekligen inom ett visst antal områden, bara för att ta ett exempel; Windows urklippshanterare, som än idag bara kan spara och klistra tillbaka den senaste kopieringen - Risken för att förlora text mm är enorm om man sitter & jobbar med något och förlitar sig blint enbart på denna inbyggda funktion. (Delar gärna med mig tipps på utomstående program om någon är intresserad).

Verkligen bra!

Men om man nu vill jämföra och försöka föra in detta program till en kattegori, vad hamnar denna?

Systemåterställning / Säkerhetskopiering / Backup / Snapshott / Clone.

Tycker det börjar bli allt svårare & avgöra vilken teknik som används i flertalet nyare program där gränserna suddas ut mer & mer.

This is a maintanence release that should address a couple of bugs in the previous versions.

FIXED! System occasionally fails to start up if operating system is installed on 2nd hard disk.

FIXED! Solved all problems of Windows Hibernation.

FIXED! Failed to install CTM when system partition is NTFS format.

FIXED! Failed to Reset Baseline when write much data in some special environments.

FIXED! "Delayed write failed." prompted when free space is very low.

Known problem:

In mutli-OS environment, which means the computer is installed with multiple OS and each OS has its own partitions. The computer will not

start if the CTM driver is moved and only part of all partitions is protected.

The only way to avoid such issue is to protect all the partitions across multiple OS.

Note

Upgrade is not supported in this release:

1. Users can not upgrade CTM from previous releases to this release.

2. Users can not upgrade CTM from this releases to future release.
